Mary Kate Ledbetter Joyner

August 16, 1937 — June 7, 2022

Mary Kate Ledbetter Joyner, 84, passed away Tuesday June 7, 2022. She was born in Wilkes County to the late Morgan Ledbetter and Doris Holcomb Ledbetter. She was a member of Bethel Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents; daughter Linda Sue Shinault; son Junior Phillip Shinault; sister Peggy Church; brothers Johnson Ledbetter, Grady Ledbetter. Surviving is her husband Robert Louis Joyner; daughters Mary Jane Roemer, Ann Hollar; grandchildren Timothy Shinault, Shelly (Tommy) Childress, Mandy (Paul) Miles, Adam (Lacy) Shinault, Sean Shinault, Samantha Shinault, Morgan (Matthew) Thompson, Jessica Harris, Hans Roemer, Tanner Hollar; fourteen great grandchildren; two great great grandchildren; sister Blanche Renegar; brother Billy (Jeanie) Ledbetter. She will lie in state at the Church from 10:30 – 11:00AM on Saturday June 11, 2022 at Bethel Baptist Church. Her funeral will be conducted at 11:00 AM following the visitation at the church by Rev. Grady Trivette and Rev. Jim Miles. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Family will receive friends in the fellowship hall following the service. The family would like to say a very special thanks to the staff of Gordon Hospice Home for the loving care given to Mrs. Joyner. Gentry Family Funeral service in Yadkinville is serving the Joyner family.
