Mary Lucille Creed Cox

Mary Lucille Creed Cox, 94, of East Bend, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, July 11, 2023. She was born in Yadkin County on June 19, 1929 to Gray and Emma Hale Creed. She is survived by her daughters, Hope (Jakie) Matthews and Sandy (Barry) Spencer; granddaughters Jennifer (Allen) Pardue and Dina Spencer. Lucille was a member of East Bend Friends Church and was a very loving mother and friend to many people. Funeral services will be held on Friday, July 14, 2023 at 12:00PM at Gentry Funeral Chapel in East Bend with Rev. Marty Wood officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service on Friday from 11:00-12:00. Burial will follow in the East Bend Friends Cemetery. The family would like to thank the staff of Yadkin Nursing Care Center and Liberty Hospice for their loving care for Lucille for the last four years.
