Maxie Carter Lawing

Yadkinville Mrs. Maxie Carter Lawing, 91, passed away Sunday, February 27, 2022 at Yadkin Nursing Center. Mrs. Lawing was born June 4, 1930 in Forsyth County to Luther and Betsy Adams Carter. She enjoyed shopping, planting flowers, and working with puzzles. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Lawing was preceded in death by her husband, Hubert Shuford Lawing; three sons, Rickey Lawing, Ronnie Lawing, and Steve Lawing; two grandchildren; two sisters; and four brothers. She is survived by a daughter, Janice (Wayne) Miller; grandchildren, Karen, Kelly, Kristen, Patty, Ronnie, Jr., Amanda, Kristy, and Alicia; several great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be conducted at 11:00AM, Thursday, March 3, 2022 at Gentry Family Chapel in Yadkinville with Rev. Stephen Evans officiating. Burial will follow at Union Cross Friends Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 10:00 to 11:00AM prior to the service at the funeral home. Gentry Family Funeral Service in Yadkinville is serving the Lawing family.
