Melissa Ann Hardy, 51 of Boonville passed away at home on April 25, 2022. She was born December 9, 1970 in Forsyth County; daughter of Anderson Duncan and Mary Fulk McCormick. She was of the Baptist faith. Melissa was the most loving and caring woman you could have had the privilege of knowing. She was a loving girlfriend to the love of her life Darrell, she was the best mother to all four of her children, she was a loving and caring daughter, sister and friend. Melissa was a God-fearing woman who loved the Lord with all of her heart. She devoted 23 years as a CAN, loving and caring for the elderly and the sick. Her best and favorite memories were caring for her children and spending the past 15 years making memories with the love of her life. She was the best MiMi to all six of her grandchildren, she showed them so much love and wanted to protect them from all of the evil in the world. She had the biggest heart and had such a strong fighter spirit. She is very loved and will be deeply missed. Surviving other than her parents, are her children, Emily Hawkins, Scott Hardy, Jr., Pamela Hardy and Christy Mackie, grandchildren; Desiree, Madelyn, Kolby, Abbie, Christian, Autumn and one on the way, sisters; Sandra Noe and Donna East, brothers; Johnathan McCormick and Joseph McCormick and her love of her life, Darrell Wooten. A graveside service will be held 1:30 pm Saturday April 30, 2022 at Union Grove Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Chris Hauser officiating. The family will receive friends from 12:00 to 1:00 pm Saturday April 30, 2002 at Gentry Family Funeral Service. Online condolences may be made to www.gentryfuneralservice.com.
