Mildred Billings Burcham

Mildred Lou Burcham, 86, returned to her heavenly home on August 10, 2022. She was deeply loved by her family and she will be greatly missed. She was born to the late Chester Blaine and May Elizabeth Absher Billings, on April 17, 1936. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Bennie Harold Burcham; brothers, John Elbert Billings and Hubert Billings; sisters-in-law, Linda Billings and Ruth Billings; brother-in-law, Charles Jordan; and niece, Pamela Caudill. Mildred is survived by her son, Randle Burcham of North Wilkesboro, NC, daughter, Laurie Lankford (Dwayne) of Jonesville, NC; her grandchildren and great grandchildren, Kristen Booker (Heath and Brady) of Tallahassee, Florida; Kayla Hall (Jaye, Briggs, Ryder, MaKenna, Tyler (Stephanie), and William of Elkin, NC; and Randi Anderson (Scott, Hagen, Jocelyn) of Mooresville, NC; brother, Donald Billings of North Wilkesboro; sisters Helen Cockerham, Geraldine Jordan, and Erline Poplin (Kenneth) of Roaring River, NC; and several nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be conducted Friday, August 12, 2022 at 1:00 P.M. at Macedonia Baptist Church in Ronda, with Rev. Mike Smith and Rev. Dwayne Lankford officiating. Burial will follow in Macedonia Baptist Church Cemetery. Mrs. Burcham will lie-in-state from 12:00PM-1:00PM prior to the service at Macedonia Baptist Church. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to Macedonia Baptist Church. The family would like to thank the staff of Hugh Chatham Memorial Hospital and Mountain Valley Hospice for their care of their loved one during this time.
