BOONVILLE- Mr. Monty Chris Forrest, 66, passed away peacefully at his home on Wednesday, July 10, 2024. He was born September 3, 1957 in Yadkin County to the late Fred Frank Forrest and Mary Violet Davis Forrest. Mr. Forrest was retired from R.J. Reynolds Tobacco Company as a Control Room Specialist. He loved being outside, either hunting, playing golf, watching his grandchildren and their games, or spending time at home with his family. Mr. Forrest also loved to play baseball, was a strong Atlanta Braves Fan, and enjoyed watching NASCAR. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his brother, Gary Forrest and by his sister, Debbie Forrest. Surviving are his beloved wife of 44 years, Dee Dee Bowen Forrest; his daughter, Casey Forrest; son, Seth (Brooke) Forrest; grandchildren, Cayman Forrest-Pruitt, Keaton Forrest, Beckham Forrest, Easton Forrest; brother, Ronnie Forrest; nieces, Ashley Forrest, Kendra (Tony) Widner; and 3 very special great-nephews that he loved, Jake, Max and Dru Widner; his special friend, Ronnie Beane; and his special mother-in-law, Carolyn Bowen, whom she referred to as “Sweet Monty”. A private Celebration of Life Service will be held at a later date.
