Myrl Groce Haynes

Mrs. Myrl Ann Groce Haynes, 100, passed away Tuesday, March 5, 2024 at Pruitt Health in Elkin.  She was born August 14, 1923 in Yadkin County to the late Buford Groce and Carrie Wagoner Groce.   Myrl was retired from Chatham Manufacturing in Elkin and was a member of Arlington First Baptist Church, Jonesville.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Grady Haynes, brothers, Joe and Dee Groce and daughter-in-law, Debbie Groce.

Survivors include her son Alvis Groce, her grandsons, Darry and Barry Groce, and several great-grandchildren.

A graveside service will be held at 2:00 pm, Monday, March 11, 2024 in the Arlington First Baptist Church Cemetery, Rev. Joe Souther will officiate.   Mrs. Haynes will lie in state on Saturday afternoon March 9^th and Sunday March 10^th at Gentry Family Funeral Service in Jonesville.
