EAST BEND - Mrs. Nancy Lou Collins Wooten, 85, of Moccasin Gap Road passed away peacefully at her home on October 22, 2025. Mrs. Wooten was born May 15, 1940 in Yadkin County to the late Thomas Andrew Collins, Sr. and Annie Pearl Sizemore Collins. She was a loving wife, mother, and devoted homemaker to her family. She loved working outside gardening and then canning her vegetables for her family and friends to enjoy. Mrs. Wooten was a faithful member of Forbush Friends Meeting and attended as long as her health permitted. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Buford Gray Wooten; brothers, Billy Ray Collins, Howard Eugene Collins, Daniel Lee Collins; nephews, Rex Foster, Donnie Foster; niece, Debbie Spainhour; her sisters-in-law, Wanda Collins, Betty Jean Spainhour, and Doris Foster. Surviving are her devoted son, Bobby Gray Wooten, of the home; her brother, Thomas Andrew (Clarris) Collins, Jr.; nieces, Cindy (Kevin) Austin, Kelly (Kenny) Keaton, Kristy White, Angel (Erik) Lygren, Sharon Presnell, Teresa (Doug) Szaro, Cathy (Bobby) Carter, Vickie (Burt) Mathis; nephew, Cliff (Trish) Collins, Randy (Angela) Collins, Jackie Foster; and great-nephew, Chris (Jennifer) Foster. The family will receive friends from 3-4 PM Sunday at Gentry Family Funeral Service in Yadkinville. Her funeral service will follow the visitation at 4 PM Sunday in the Gentry Family Chapel by Rev. Mitchell See and Rev. Jake Penley. Interment will follow in the Forbush Friends Meeting Cemetery.
