Naomi Carolyn Simmons Thompson

Naomi Carolyn Simmons Thompson, 90, passed away Friday November 22, 2024. She was born December 17, 1933 in Yadkin County to the late George Dewey Simmons and Lula Luffman Simmons. She loved to watch the Jimmy Swagart Show, and she loved doing crafts. Mrs. Thompson was retired from R J Reynolds as an Accountant. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Thomas Aaron Thompson; son Thomas Chris Thompson; sisters Dorothy Pitts, Marie Robinson; brothers Grady Simmons, Johnny Simmons, Leo Simmons. Surviving are her grandson Andrew Thompson; sister Nelda Inez Kelley (Thomas Fuquay); daughter in law Brenda Thompson. The family will receive friends from 1-2 PM Tuesday November 26, 2024 at Gentry Family Funeral Service in Yadkinville. Her funeral will be conducted at 2:00 PM following the visitation in the Gentry Family Chapel by Rev. Thomas Fuquay. Burial will follow at Crestwood Memorial Gardens. The family would like to say a very special thanks to the staff at Forsyth Palliative Care Unit for the loving care given to Mrs. Thompson.
