Opal Imogene Hodge Reece

Boonville – Opal Imogene Hodge Reece, 85, passed away Thursday, April 28, 2022. She was born February 3, 1937 in Yadkin County to the late Walter and Ticy Hodge. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth Franklin Reece; sister, Verlie Vestal; brothers, Dewitt Hodge, James “Shorty” Hodge. Surviving are her children, Lynn (Tim) Wilson, Kenny (Melissa) Reece; grandchildren, Dawn (Josh) Casstevens, Carrie Dobbins, Haley (Austin) Cockerham; great grandchild, Reece Casstevens; sister, Bertha Prim; and several nieces and nephews. Her funeral service will be held at 3:00 PM Sunday, May 1, 2022 at Charity Baptist Church by the Rev. Marty Nixon. Burial will follow at the church cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service from 2:00 to 3:00 PM Sunday at Charity Baptist Church.
