Pansy Irene Cave Speer

East Bend 

Mrs. Pansy Irene Cave Speer, 88, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on September 19, 2023. She was born on October 4, 1934 to Crawley Levi Cave and Phoebe Brendle Cave. She was a loyal member of Faith Community Baptist Church and enjoyed serving others. She enjoyed watching westerns and reading in her spare time. Pansy was also an avid collector of salt and pepper shakers. 

In addition to her parents, Pansy is preceded in death by a daughter, Vickie Irene Speer Brown; sisters, Archie Belle Cave, Ruby Finney, and Violet Jester; brothers, Clyde Cave, Marvin Cave, Ed Cave, Rufus Cave, JE Cave, and Junior Cave. She is survived by her loving husband of over 68 years, Calvin “Leroy” Speer; grandchildren, Marshall Patterson, and Kenny Brown; great-grandson, Todd Patterson; son-in-law, Vernon Brown; and a brother-in-law, Denny (Sharon) Brown. 

A funeral service for Pansy will be held at 3:00 PM on Sunday, September 24, 2023 at Gentry Family Funeral Service in East Bend with Pastor Brian Poindexter officiating. The burial will follow at Faith Community Baptist Church in East Bend. The family with receive friends prior to the service from 2:30 – 3:00 PM. The burial will follow at
