Patty Ashley Swaim

Mrs. Patty Ashley Swaim, 91, passed away on April 1, 2024. She was born in Yadkin County on August 8, 1932 to the late Santford and Rosa Hutchens Ashley. She loved Christmas and going camping at Lake Myers with her grandchildren. Most importantly, she loved being a mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. 

In addition to her parents, Patty was preceded in death by her loving husband, James Max Swaim; and a daughter, Sandy Blodgett. She is survived by her children, Bruce (Robin) Swaim. Tonya (Bradley) Anthony, and Greg Swaim; grandchildren, Jason (Crystal) Swaim, Andrea (Keith) Weaver, Phillip (Angela) Swaim, Savannah (Roman) Gilliam, Hunter Parks, and Morgan Swaim; great grandchildren, Korey (Elijah) Lindberg, Mason Swaim (Katey), Brooklyn Swaim, Amelia Vanhoy, Mica Swaim, Mason Anthony, Molly Jo Swaim, Max Swaim; a sister, Versie Mendenhall; and several nieces and nephews. 

A funeral service for Patty will be held on Thursday, April 4, 2024 at 3:00 PM at New Day Assembly of God with pastor Jeff Davis officiating. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 1:00 -3:00 PM at the church. Burial will follow at North Oak Ridge Baptist Church in Boonville. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the cemetery fund at North Oak Ridge Baptist Church, 2504 N Oak Ridge Church Rd, Boonville, NC 27011.
