Paul "Richard" Lineberry

Paul “Richard” Lineberry, 89, of East Bend, NC passed away on Saturday, February 17, 2024. 

He was born to parents Gurnie Louis Lineberry and Lora Matthews in East Bend, NC in 1934.  He retired from RJ Reynolds after more than 30 years of service.

He leaves behind his beloved wife of 65 years, Mildred Jane Lineberry and their son, Paul Rickie Lineberry, both of the home; his brother, Jackie Lineberry of Sallisaw, OK; a sister-in-law, Minnie Vestal Lineberry, of Lexington, NC; and numerous nieces and nephews. 

Richard was a gregarious and memorable person who enjoyed farming, gardening, tractors, old cars, hunting, fishing and visiting his family. 

He is preceded in death by his daughter, Janet Lee Lineberry; brothers, Lester Lineberry, Clark (C.M.) Lineberry, Guy Lineberry, and Ervin Lineberry; and his sisters, Minnie Lineberry Matthews, Vera Lineberry Davis, Plumer Lineberry, and Emma Jean Lineberry Anderson. 

The family will receive friends from 11:00 AM to 12:00 Noon on Wednesday, February 21, 2024 at Gentry Family Funeral Service in East Bend. A funeral service will follow at 12:00 Noon in the Gentry Family Chapel with Rev. Danny Royal officiating. Interment will follow at Prospect United Methodist Church Cemetery. Gentry Family Funeral Service of East Bend is serving the Lineberry family.
