Peggy Lou Davis

Ms. Peggy Lou Davis, 83, passed away after a brief illness, Friday, November 15, 2024. She was born December 23, 1940 in Yadkin County to the late John Claywell Davis Sr., and Vera Lineberry Davis. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sisters, Barbara Starling, and Kathy Thomas; and a niece, Tabitha Kavalew. Peggy loved listening to Elvis Presley, doing word book searches, and she dearly loved her visits with her great-nieces and great-nephews. She is survived by her siblings, Judy (Henry) Bowman, Linda (Terry) Lord, Regina (Greg) Hardy, J.C. (Diane) Davis Jr.; nieces and nephews, Diane (Perry) Starling Edwards, Johnny (Sandy) Starling, Teresa Terry, Lorinda (Jay) Burchette, Donna Ulrich, Julie Jones, Valerie (Scott) Kiger, Amanda (Eric) Norman, Megan (Davin) Frankosky, John (Amanda) Hardy; and many beloved great-nieces and great-nephews. The family will receive friends, Sunday, November 17, 2024 from 2:00 PM until 3:00 PM at Gentry Family Funeral Service in East Bend. A funeral service will follow the visitation at 3:00 PM in the Gentry Family Chapel with Pastor Brian Poindexter officiating. The family would like to express their love and gratitude to Forsyth Hospital ICU3 nurses and all her soul sisters at Brookridge and Encompass Rehab for the loving care shown to Peggy. In lieu of flowers memorials are made to Friendship Baptist Church, 4720 Siloam Rd., East Bend, NC 27018. Gentry Family Funeral Service of East Bend is serving the Davis family.
