Ranzie Lee Brown

Yadkinville Mr. Ranzie Lee Brown, 87, passed away Friday, January 13, 2023 at his home. Mr. Brown was born August 19, 1935 in Yadkin County to Luther and Edna Wall Brown. He was a long-time member of Yadkinville Pentecostal Holiness Church where he served as a deacon and on the cemetery committee. Mr. Brown served in the US Army National Guard., and worked as a building contractor for many years. After retirement he started his own trucking company that is still operational. In addition to his parents, Mr. Brown was preceded in death by a brother, Brent Brown; and two sisters, Gilda Brown and WaDean Beasley. He is survived by his loving wife of 69 years, Betty Hutchens Brown; daughters, Karen (Tim) Joyner and Annette (Keith) Vestal; grandchildren, Kelly (Jeremy) Prichard, Grant Joyner (Makayla Hedrick), and Drew (Allison) Vestal; great grandchildren, Ryan, Easton, and Rylee Kate Prichard; two sisters, Janice (William) Steelman and Hilda (Chris) Johnson; and several nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be conducted at 11:00AM, Monday, January 16, 2023 at Gentry Family Chapel with Rev. James W. Williams, Rev. Mac Cassell, and Rev. Tim Jones officiating. Burial will follow at Yadkinville Pentecostal Holiness Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends Sunday evening from 5:00 to 7:00PM at Gentry Funeral Service in Yadkinville. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Yadkinville Pentecostal Holiness Church Cemetery Fund, 5312 US Hwy 601 Yadkinville, NC 27055. Gentry Family Funeral Service in Yadkinville is serving the Brown family.
