Ray William Hudspeth

East Bend – Ray William Hudspeth, 83, passed away unexpectedly Saturday, January 3, 2025. He was born October 21, 1942 in Yadkin County to the late Lonnie Reece Hudspeth and Rosa Stokes Hudspeth.

Ray was known as the working man whether at his job or at home. He dedicated 35 years to RJ Reynolds (Archer). After retiring, Ray was a force in the neighborhood always there to lend a helping hand when needed. Ray “Daddy, Papa” loved with all his heart and he was loved dearly in return. He will forever be missed and always remembered.

In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his daughter, Jeanine Hudspeth Johnson; brother, Jim Hudspeth; sister, Linda Kay Harris. He is survived by his wife, Doris Flynn Hudspeth; daughter, Cammie Hudspeth-Forrest; grandson, Alex Ray Forrest; other grandchildren, Mandy Cox, Cody (Jessica) Johnson, Alica (Adam) White; five great grandchildren; brother, Wayne (Bobbie) Hudspeth; sisters, Margie (Shelton) Stikes, Adelee Brown, Brenda (Romie) Flynn; and several nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Gentry Family Funeral Service in East Bend is serving the Hudspeth family.
