Mrs. Reba Ann Spillman Mullis, 74, beloved mama and mawmaw, passed away Saturday, May 16, 2026. She was born June 30, 1951 in Forsyth County to the late Doris Grey Spillman. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Edward Mullis. She was a lifelong farmer and homemaker alongside her husband. She worked with him establishing the family farm with tobacco, chicken houses, row crops and cows (her favorite). Reba loved gardening, working in her flower beds (especially her roses), making crafts and painting. Her dog, Coco and all her pets had a special place in her heart. She is survived by her children Renee Mullis, Dale (Amanda) Mullis; grandsons Josh (Michaela) Mullis, Brody Mullis; aunt Frances Tucker; brother-in-law Gray (Michele) Mullis; sisters-in-law Mary Lou Mullis, Marilyn Mullis; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. Reba had many special friends that she made through her church and volunteering alongside her family in the fire department and local organizations. The family will receive friends, Tuesday, May 19, 2026 from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Gentry Family Funeral Service in Yadkinville. A funeral service will be 3:00 PM, Wednesday, May 20, 2026 at Shiloh Baptist Church in Hamptonville with Rev. Dana Blankley officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Memorials may be made to Windsor’s Crossroads Ruritan Club or New Horizon’s Adult Day Center. Gentry Family Funeral Service of Yadkinville is serving the Mullis family.
