Rebecca "Ann" Davis Long

May 1, 1938 — June 15, 2025

John 3:16 For God so loved the world He gave His own begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should nor perish, but have everlasting life. Philippians 4:13 I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me. Ann Davis Long, 87, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Sunday June 15, 2025 at Yadkin Nursing Center after a short battle with double Pneumonia and atrial fibrillation with her heart. Ann lived a Godly life, so how fitting it was for her to go to her Heavenly Home on Father’s Day to be with her Lord and Savior. Ann wasn’t able to have children but she loved all Her nieces and nephews. In the last few years, she relied on her niece Angie Bell to help her and also Dennis Davis and Randy Davis. Words can’t describe the love she had for Pastor Bobby Watts and his wife. She was born May 1, 1938 in Yadkin County to the late William Fred Davis and Sally Geneva “Neva” Lineberry Davis. Mrs. Long was retired from Sara Lee Hosiery. Ann enjoyed going to church reading her Bible, ladies’ group, fellowship and meals, loved her yard work, flowers and gardening. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband John Henry Long; two sisters Myrtle Mae Freeman, Paula “Jean” Broad; three brothers Howard “June” Davis, William Ray Davis, Bobby Benford Davis. Surviving are several nieces and nephews; special friends Janie Hunter and Linda Lineberry. The family will receive friends from 10:00 – 11:00 Am Wednesday June 18, 2025 at Mount Bethel Baptist Church. Her funeral will be conducted following the visitation at the church at 11:00 AM Wednesday June 18, 2025 by Rev. Bobby Watts. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family would like to say a very special thanks to the staff at Yadkin Nursing Center, Mount Bethel Church family, and New Horizons Home Care for the loving care given to Mrs. Long. In lieu of flowers memorials may be mad to Mount Bethel Baptist Church 4332 Mt. Bethel Church Road, East Bend, NC 27018 or New Horizons Adult day Center PO Box 1969 Yadkinville, NC 27055.
