Hamptonville – Richard “Ricky” Vernon Casstevens, Jr., 75, passed away Tuesday, October 7, 2025. He was born March 15, 1950 in Yadkin County to the late Richard Vernon Casstevens, Sr. and Jessie Long Casstevens. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his wife, Sue Moxley Casstevens; brother, Danny Casstevens. He is survived by his sons, Brent (Angie) Casstevens, Brandon (Judy) Casstevens, Russell (Tracie) Casstevens; grandchildren, Alexis Casstevens, Rusty Norman, Christian Casstevens, Ryan Casstevens, Aaron Casstevens, Todd Casstevens; great grandchildren, Collin King, Knox Absher; sister, Tammy (Billy) Nester; and nieces and nephews. His funeral service will be held 12:00 PM Friday, October 10, 2025 at North Oak Ridge Baptist Church by the Rev. Phillip Link. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 PM Thursday, October 9, 2025 at Gentry Family Funeral Service in Yadkinville, which is serving the Casstevens family.
