Robert "Bob" Howard

Mr. Robert Howard affectionally known as Bob, passed away peacefully surrounded by family and friends on Wednesday July 3, 2024. Bob was the son of Leonard and Lilly Howard and married to Jo Ann Miller Howard. He worked for Reynolds Tobacco Co. for 30 years and farmed all his life. Bob had a tremendous love for his draft horses and weekends spent at love valley riding the rolling hills with friends and family. Bob had a passionate love of saw milling, and opened his own mill until his health no longer permitted. Survived by his daughter and son-in-law Tammy and Hank Parker; step grandchildren Jennifer Wright, Katie Parker, Krista Parker, special grandsons Luke and Noah Lovejoy; special friends Junior and Peggy Hutchens, Janie Royall, Hattie Royall, James and Kitty Atwood, Ronnie and Rosa Lovejoy, and many more friends throughout the community. A graveside service will be conducted at 11:00 AM Saturday July 6, 2024 at Redland Pentecostal Church Cemetery in Advance by Rev. James Williams. The family would like to thank his caregivers Madison Ponzi, Nancy wall, and his nurse Dana from Mountain Valley Hospice and her staff for the wonderful care given to Bob in his time of need. In lieu of flowers the family ask any memorials be made to Mountain Valley Hospice 243 N. Lee Avenue Yadkinville, NC 27055 in Bob’s memory. Gentry Family Funeral Service in Yadkinville is serving the Howard family.
