YADKINVILLE – Mr. Robert Franklin “Bobby” Coble, Jr., 73, of the Courtney Community passed away peacefully Tuesday, June 16, 2026 at Atrium Health Baptist Medical Center in Winston-Salem. He was born July 8, 1952 in Gaston County to the late Lois Kuykendall Coble.

Mr. Coble was a veteran of the Vietnam War serving with the US Army 82nd Airborne Division. After his years of service, he returned to North Carolina and earned his certificate in Auto Mechanics. He worked as an auctioneer and in several other careers. Mr. Coble was lovingly known as a “ Jack of All Trades, and Master of a Couple”. He truly loved working with cars, especially classic cars, and he was a devoted member of the Yadkin Valley Cruisers. He also enjoyed singing in the choir when he attended Branon Friends Meeting, loved his animals, and especially loved his beloved grandchildren.

Surviving are his wife of 52 years, Lynette Mackie Coble, of the home; his sons, Greg (Kristy) Coble; Brandon Coble; his grandsons, Caden Coble, Caleb Coble; sisters, Vickie (Chris) Wilkes, Rhonda (Bob) Smith; brothers, Jeff (Lisa Ann) Coble, Rodney (Mary) Coble; sisters-in-law, Kay (Tim) Adams, Donna (John) McAllister; and multiple nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.

The family will receive friends from 2-3 PM Saturday at Gentry Family Funeral Service in Yadkinville. His funeral service will follow the visitation at 3 PM Saturday in the Gentry Family Chapel by Rev. Eric Morrison and Rev. Dennis Bell. Interment will follow in the West Yadkin Baptist Church Cemetery with Full Military Honors by Yadkin VFW Post 10346.
