Robert Monroe Mayes

Mr. Robert Monroe Mayes, 78, of Boonville, NC passed away unexpectedly Saturday, November 8, 2025, at Willowbrook Rehabilitation and Care Center in Yadkinville, NC.

Robert was the son of the late Thad Monroe and Irene Mayes, and he was raised in Cana, VA. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Jacob Mayes, and his sisters, Louise Cranfield and Patsy Creasy.

He is survived his, Thad Junior (T.J.) Mayes, Mitchell Mayes, and Monroe Mayes; his sister, Hilda Jones; his aunt, Hazel Woods; and several nieces and nephews.

The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the staff of Willowbrook Rehabilitation and Care Center for their care and kindness.

Mr. Mayes was buried at Beulahland Non-Denominational Church in Jonesville.
