Mr. Roger Hutson, 88, passed away Saturday, November 5, 2022.  Mr. Hutson was born on October 8, 1934 in Yadkin County to Frank and Minnie Wilkins Hutson.  Roger drove a truck for 60 years with no accidents or tickets.  He was a dedicated Rick Hendricks Nascar Fan.  He was a wonderful and loving provider for his family and he will be greatly missed.   

In addition to his parents, Mr. Hutson was preceded in death by his wife, Patsy Hutson; daughters, Lisa Hutson, Sheila Hutson, Patricia Hutson; son, Leslie Hutson; infant great grandson, Elijah Ray Swaim; brothers, Floyd, Joe, and Charles Hutson; sister, Rosella Ball.   He is survived by his daughter, Pennie (Lee) Boyd; grandchildren, Matthew (Shelly) Swaim, Joshua (Tracy) Swaim, Andrew Hutson (Jessica Dollar) and Nalon (Miranda) Hutson; great grandchildren, Lucas, Parker, and Freya Swaim, Josiah, Oakley, and Samuel Hutson; step great grandson, Jordan Dane; sisters, Treva Cothren, Shirley (Jerry) Murphey; and several nieces and nephews. 

A funeral service will be conducted at 3:00PM, Thursday, November 10, 2022 at Gentry Family Chapel in Jonesville with Pastor Brett Graham officiating.  Burial will follow at Fall Creek Baptist Church Cemetery with Dr. Charlie Kennedy officiating the committal service.  The family will receive friends from 2:00 to 3:00PM prior to the service at the funeral home. 

The family would like to extend a special thank you to Lee Boyd for all that he did to help Pa out.  Also, a special thank you to Dr. Subbiah and the nurses on the second floor at HCMH, along with the staff of Mountain Valley SECU Hospice, Debbie Ford, and Chaplin Mark Brown for their loving care of Mr. Hutson during his illness.
