Roger Vance Owens

Yadkinville – Roger Vance Owens, 83, passed away Tuesday, January 3, 2023.  He was born April 1, 1939 in Yadkin County to the late James and Mollie Robins Owens.  In addition to his parents; he was also preceded in death by his wife, Millie Leigh Cheek Owens; and several brothers and sisters.  Surviving are his sons; Rodney (Anna) Owens, Kevin Owens and family; step-sons, Michael (Susie) Turner, Chris Turner; grandchildren, Evelyn Owens, Bradley Owens, Maddie Owens; step-grandchildren, Ashley Turner, Audrey Turner; brother, Harold (Ann) Owens; and several nieces and nephews.  His funeral service will be held 2:00 PM Saturday, January 7, 2023 at Center United Methodist Church by the Rev. Barry Queen.  Burial will follow at Center Memorial Cemetery.  The family will receive friends prior to the service from 1:00 to 2:00 PM Saturday at Center United Methodist Church.  Gentry Family Funeral Service in Yadkinville is serving the Owens family.  Online condolences can be made at www.gentryfuneralservice.com.
