Yadkinville-  Mr. Ronald Stephen Messick, 70, passed away peacefully Wednesday, November 30, 2022 at Dunmore Plantation in Dobson.  He was born January 25, 1952 in Forsyth County to the late James Messick and Alice Nell Dull Messick Atkins.  Mr. Messick was a graduate of Wake Forest University with a degree in Sports Medicine.  He worked for several years at Starmount High School as the Athletic Trainer and later worked with Yadkin County Department of Social Services.  Mr. Messick was an avid sports fan that enjoyed Wake Forest University and Starmount High School Athletic Events.  He loved opera and classical music, and enjoyed making different types of jewelry.  Surviving are his sister, Debbie (George) Warren of Charlotte; his aunts, Judy Hodge, Yadkinville; Libby Dull of East Bend; and several cousins and friends. The family would like to express their gratitude to the nurses and staff of Dunmore Plantation in Dobson for all the loving wonderful care given to Mr. Messick. A private memorial service will be held at a later date.  Gentry Family Funeral Service of Yadkinville is serving the Messick Family.
