Ronda Lee Brown

Ronda Lee Brown, 86, passed away on Friday, January 2, 2026, at SECU Hospice Center of Yadkin. Born June 6, 1939, Ronda Lee was the son of the late Conard Martin Brown and Bonnie Matthews Brown. He married Kay McCormick on June 6, 1958. Ronda Lee lived in Yadkin County most of his life and in addition to Ronda Lee, would answer to Daddy, Pa, and “Butterball.” Ronda Lee was a loving husband, devoted son, dedicated father, and doting grandfather. With a career as a professional truck driver, Ronda Lee always had stories to share of his “adventures.” His witty sense of humor brought smiles to many, and he never shyed away from a mechanical problem, often helping family, neighbors, and friends. Ronda Lee enjoyed fried chicken, homemade ice cream, an afternoon nap, and a blazing fire in his woodstove. He attended Forbush Friends Meeting in East Bend.

Ronda Lee is survived by his wife of 67 years Kay Brown of Boonville, NC; daughter Kimberly Brown (Brett Houser) of Kernersville, NC; granddaughter Savannah Pack of Richmond, VA; sister Catherine (Phil) Shaw of Greensboro, NC; sister-in-law Mary (Dale) McCormick of Boonville, NC; several nieces, nephews, cousins; and special friends Lee Caudle and Calvin Dudley. In addition to his parents, Ronda Lee was preceded in death by his sister, Carol Jean Miller (Raymond Miller); his two brothers, Charles David (CD) Brown (Jacqueline Brown) and Rayford Brown; and his two brothers-in-law, Paul McCormick and Dale McCormick.

Ronda Lee’s funeral service will be on Monday, January 5, 2026, at 2 PM at Gentry Family Funeral Service, Yadkinville, NC. A visitation with the family will occur from 1-2 PM. Burial will be at Mt. Pleasant United Methodist Church, Boonville, NC.
