Rony Naun Enamorado Cruz

“With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Rony Naun Enamorado Cruz on January 29, 2026, at the age of 18. Rony was born July 9, 2007, in Statesville, North Carolina. With Rony’s departure, we remember a caring soul with an endless sense of humor. A newly graduated student from Yadkin Success Academy, Rony lived for soccer goals, fast cars, and brought immense joy to those around him. He enjoyed playing soccer with dreams of one day watching Lionel Messi play. Rony also enjoyed running track, collecting hot wheels and Lego cars, and playing video games. He had plans of attending trade school and working in the automotive industry. His empathy, sense of humor, and gentle soul led him to be loved by all. There wasn’t one person he couldn’t uplift with a slight passing. Saved and baptized at an early age, his early arrival into heaven will be felt by many. He is survived by his parents, Janet and Ryan Monroe; his siblings, Angela Habana-Cortes, Ryan L Monroe, Patrick Monroe, Aaliyah Allison, Justin Monroe, Lee Monroe, Kathryn Monroe, and Crystal Monroe; his maternal grandparents, Cathy and Robert Whitaker; his paternal grandmother, Kathy Powe; an abundance of aunts, uncles, and cousins; his loving girlfriend, Linda Martinez; his God parents, Rony Enamorado Cruz Sr. and Mariluz Ayala; and his God siblings. Rony was proceeded in death by his grandfather, Lee Powe.” The family will receive friends, from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM, Sunday, February 8, 2026 at Gentry Family Funeral Service in Yadkinville. His funeral service will follow the visitation at 2:00 PM in the Gentry Family Chapel. Gentry Family Funeral Service of Yadkinville is serving the Enamorado Cruz family.
