Rose Bell Soots

Yadkinville - Rose Bell Soots, 88, passed away on Tuesday, November 4, 2025. She was born on July 15, 1937 in Wilkes County to the late Charles Bell and Pearl Byrd Bell. Rose never met a stranger and if you were lucky to meet her, you would be friends forever. She loved Jesus, her family, her church, and her pastor.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, Max Soots; son, Doug Soots; four sisters; and four brothers. She is survived by her daughter, Sheila (David) Newman of Elkin; son, Charles D. (Susan) Soots of Yadkinville; daughter-in-law, Debra Soots of Ronda; granddaughter, Melissa (Nick) Longworth of Elkin; great grandsons, Austin (Leara) Longworth of Jonesville and Cole Longworth (fiancé Ella) of Elkin; and several nieces and nephews.

Her funeral service will be held on Saturday, November 8, 2025 at 12:00 PM at Thanks to Calvary Baptist Church with Rev. Jeremy Simpson officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends prior to the service on Saturday from 11:00 to 12:00 PM at the church.

The family would like to especially thank Regina Boone, April Wooten, Forsyth Hospital Emergency Department, and the 2nd Floor ICU staff for all their excellent loving care.
