Mrs. Roslyn Lynette “Pebbles” Scott Chunn, 61, passed away peacefully at her home on Monday, April 27, 2026. Born on December 8, 1964, in Yadkin County, she was the beloved daughter of Bobby Eugene and Carolyn JoAnn Harding Scott.
Roslyn dedicated her professional life to serving others as a supervisor in the Business Information Technology Department at Forsyth Technical Community College in Winston-Salem. She approached her work with diligence, kindness, and quiet strength, leaving a lasting impression on colleagues and students alike.
A faithful and devoted member of Forbush Missionary Baptist Church, Roslyn cherished her church family deeply. Her life was a reflection of her faith—marked by humility, compassion, and a genuine love for others. She found joy in simple pleasures: walking, spending time at the Yadkin Family YMCA, and sharing laughter-filled shopping trips with family and friends.
Known affectionately as “Pebbles,” she was a woman of remarkable grace. She never complained, harbored no envy, and gave of herself freely. Her life was defined by service—always placing others before herself. This selfless spirit made her a deeply loving and devoted wife, mother, daughter, sister, and friend.
Family was the center of Roslyn’s heart. She treasured each member dearly, with a special affection for her niece and nephew, Kinsley and Kingston, who brought her immense joy.
She was preceded in death by her father, Bobby E. Scott; her cherished daughter, Dr. Jasmine LaDonna Chunn; her mother-in-law, Barbara Jean Carson; and her brother-in-law, Michael Chunn.
Left to honor and cherish her memory are her beloved husband of 40 years, Barry Keith Chunn; her mother, Carolyn H. Scott; her sister, Rovette Scott Jones; her brothers, Rodney Scott, Ronald Scott, and Quintin (Lisa) Scott; her father-in-law, Paul Chunn; her brothers-in-law, Darrell Chunn, Mark Chunn, Scotty Chunn, Dwayne Chunn, and Joshua Chunn; her sisters-in-law, Patricia Chunn and Keeley Chunn; along with a host of extended family members and dear friends.
A graveside service celebrating Roslyn’s life will be held at 1:00 PM on Thursday at Forbush Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery, officiated by Minister Marilyn Fulton.
Roslyn’s legacy of love, kindness, and unwavering faith will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
