Sharon Dobbins Brown

Boonville Mrs. Sharon Marlena Dobbins Brown, 68, was welcomed into Heaven by Jesus and her precious Meme on Tuesday, June 28, 2022. Sharon was born February 7, 1954 in Surry County to James Howard and Edith Steelman Dobbins. On May 31, 1975, Sharon married the love of her life, David Brown. Together, they built a wonderful life and had two beautiful children. Everyone who knew Sharon, loved her. She was a lifetime member of Boonville Baptist Church where she served as a choir member, the children’s ministry, the Boonville Cemetery Committee and other areas of service. After 43 years, she retired from Forsyth Medical Center’s Radiology Department. Sharon will be remembered for her constant desire to serve her Lord and her determination to get WELL so she could walk, drive and care for her grandbabies! In addition to her parents, Sharon was preceded in death by her beloved daughter, Meme Mckensie Brown; father-in-law and mother-in-law, CD & Jackie Brown; and a very special friend, Teresa Taylor. Left to cherish her memory, her loving husband of 47 years, David Brown; son, Tyler Brown and wife, Erika; two grandchildren, Grayson Dobbins Brown and Piper Brooke Brown; loving and devoted her sister, Mariena Shore; brother-in-law, Dean Davis and wife, Amy; nieces and nephews, Jennifer Hiatt and husband Brandon, James Shore and wife Leigh Anne, and Joseph Shore and wife, Sarah; great nieces and nephews, Morgan, Colin, McKennon, Macon, Marleigh, Ernie, Nita Kate, and Edie; her special companion, Cobie; and many special friends. A funeral service will be conducted at 10:00AM, Saturday, July 2, 2022 at Boonville Baptist Church with Rev. John Brown officiating. Burial will follow at Boonville Cemetery. The family will receive friends Friday evening from 5:00PM to 8:00PM at Gentry Funeral Service in Yadkinville.
