Shirley Crews Harris

Harmony – Shirley JoAnn Crews Harris, 88, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Thursday, August 29, 2024. She was born November 9, 1935 in Yadkin County to the late Earley Cornelius Crews and Myrtle Jane Adams Crews. Shirley enjoyed being outdoors, she loved spending time in her flower garden and vegetable garden. She loved spending time with family, especially her grandchildren. Shirley always enjoyed church and attending whenever her health would allow her too. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Herman Dudley Harris; Son, Herbert Harris; sisters, Hazel Reavis, Nellie Peele, Eloise Turner, Joyce Gobble, Beulah “Boots” Moore; brothers, Ford Crews, Glenn Crews, Eldon Crews, Billy Crews, Roy Crews. She is survived by her children, Scott (Deborah) Harris, Angela Jimenez; eight grandchildren; several great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. Her funeral service will be held 11:00 AM Wednesday, September 4, 2024 at New Hope Baptist Church by the Rev. Bert Mathis. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service from 10:00 to 11:00 AM at New Hope Baptist Church. Gentry Family Funeral Service in Yadkinville is serving the Harris family.
