Yadkinville-  Mr. Steven Joseph Gilbuena, 80, of Brawley Road passed away peacefully Sunday, August 1, 2021 at his home.  He was born May 31, 1941 in San Francisco, Ca to the late Ricardo Gilbuena and Carmen Lara Gilbuena.  Mr. Gilbuena retired as a machinist in the Aerospace Industry working with the Space Shuttle, and recently had worked with J.S. Myers Paving Inc of Yadkinville.  He was an avid golfer and participated in several tournaments in the area.  In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his wife, Irene C. Gilbuena.  Surviving are his daughter, Debra Davidson; his son, Steven C. Gilbuena; 3 grandchildren, Jason Fogle, Jeremy Fogle, Justin Studen; his two sisters, Dolores Lewis, Aurora Aviso; and his brother, Robert Gilbuena.  A memorial service will be held at a later date.  Gentry Family Funeral Service of Yadkinville is serving the Gilbuena Family.
