Susan Margenia Ellis

Mrs. Susan Margenia Ellis, age 58, passed away Sunday, July 7, 2024 at the Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home from pancreatic cancer with her daughters by her side. She was born on July 31, 1965, in Forsyth County to the late Richard Alvin Sheets and Patsy Ellis Sheets. She was the oldest of three children and a loyal caretaker to her parents in their final years. She loved Christmas time and both listening to and telling family stories. She taught preschool for several years and afterwards, enjoyed working at the Wal-Mart bakery for several more years. She was a beloved mother, daughter and cousin. She will be dearly missed by all of her family and friends, especially her cousins Dana Ledford and Luwonna Oakes. Susan is preceded in death by her father, Richard Sheets; her mother, Patsy Sheets; her twin brothers, Stacey Sheets and Tracey Sheets; and one nephew, Gavin Sheets. She is survived by two daughters, Amber Shoaf (Vic) and Amanda Shoaf; three aunts; two uncles; two sisters-in-law; one niece and several nephews; and countless dear cousins. A funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 PM Saturday, July 27, 2024 at Gentry Family Funeral Service in Yadkinville, officiated by Center Grove’s Mitch Monroe. The family will receive friends on Saturday, July 27, 2024 from 1:00 – 2:00 PM, also at Gentry Family Funeral Service in Yadkinville, NC. Memorials may be made to Kate B.
