Ted Carl Sparks Sr.

Mr. Ted Carl Sparks Sr., 87, passed away Wednesday, July 8, 2026. He was born November 14, 1938 in Yadkin County to the late Wade Sparks and Lula Eller Sparks. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Bill Sparks and David Sparks. Mr. Sparks was retired from RJ Reynolds with 37 years of service. In his early life he enjoyed hunting. Ted also enjoyed cattle farming and loved playing golf. He is survived by his wife of 67 years, Nancy Reinhardt Sparks; his son, Ted (Kathy) Sparks Jr.; his daughter, Becky (Bobby) Ramsey; grandchildren, Ryan (Katherine) Sparks, Evan (Megan) Sparks, Jordan Ramsey, Lauren Ramsey; great-grandchildren, Sutton, Quinn, Asher, Oliver; his brothers, Ronnie (Clara) Sparks, Tony (Peggy) Sparks; several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends, Saturday, July 11, 2026 from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM at Gentry Family Funeral Service in Yadkinville. A funeral service will follow the visitation at 2:00 PM, in the Gentry Family Chapel with Ronnie Vanhoy officiating. Burial will follow in the Asbury UMC Cemetery. Gentry Family Funeral Service of Yadkinville is serving the Sparks family.
