Theora Ellyn Potter

Ellyn Potter passed away on the 13th of January, 2026. She was born on May 27th, 1933 to the late John and Theora Carper. Ellyn had many enjoyments in life. She was very tech savvy and used that skill during her career of working for AT&T.

In addition to her parents, Ellyn was preceded in death by her sister, Martha (John) Barney; and brother, John Allen Carper Jr.

Those left to cherish her memories are her sons, John (Diane) Dyson, David Dyson; grandchildren, James (Katie) Dyson, Jeremy (Eula Mae) Dyson, Steven (Rebecca) Dyson; 10 great-grandchildren; 16 great-great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Connie Carper; many nieces and nephews; and long-time friends, Billy (Lilly) Little.

The family would like to extend their thanks to the loving and caring staff of Yadkin Nursing center for the love and support they showed Ellyn during her stay. The staff of Gentry Family Funeral Service of Yadkinville will be serving the Potter family.
