Thomas L. Harding, Jr.

Thomas Leonard Harding, Jr., born August 13, 1928, passed away on Friday, April 10, 2026.

Thomas graduated from Courtney School in 1949. Shortly after, he proudly served his country in the United States Army from 1950 to 1952, spending much of his time stationed in Germany.

After returning home, Thomas built a long and dedicated career with Western Electric (GE), where he worked until his retirement in 1989.

He was a member of the Yadkin Masonic Lodge and a faithful member of Turners Creek Baptist Church, where he valued fellowship and service. Thomas will be remembered for his lifetime of hard work, devotion to family and commitment to his faith and community.

Thomas was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Betty Jo (Calloway) Harding; his son, Robert L. Harding; his parents, Thomas and Ruth Harding, Sr.; his sister, Elizabeth Harding Moss; and his brother, Benjamin R. Harding.

Surviving Thomas are his brother, Malcolm (Georgeann) Harding; his niece, April (Berl) Childers and his close friend, Donald Moxley.
