Thyra Church Wagoner

Boonville – Thyra Ellen Church Wagoner, 91, passed away Thursday, January 6, 2022. She was born August 1, 1930 in Yadkin County to the late Richard H. and Eulah Shore Church. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Lindley Gray Wagoner; and a sister, Modene Gilbert. Surviving are her children, Lynn (Renee) Wagoner, Gina (Sonny) Hobson; grandson, Miles Helms; brothers, Richard (Greta) Church, and Wayne (Johnette) Church. A private service will be held at a later date. A night of music will be held at a later date by Eddie Bines in honor of the life of Thyra Wagoner. In lieu of flowers, the family request memorials be made to the Amedisys Foundation, 1929 Southport Supply Road, Suite A, Boliva, NC 28422, in honor of the amazing hospice staff that cared for Thyra during her continuing decline.
