Timothy "Tim" Lee Tucker

Hamptonville – Timothy “Tim” Lee Tucker, 66, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Saturday, October 15, 2022. He was born April 14, 1956 in Forsyth County to the late George and Ruby Adams Tucker. Tim graduated from Appalachian State University and received a Masters of Divinity at Southwestern Theological Seminary in Fort Worth, TX. His first job was a youth minister at First Baptist in Kings Tree, SC, and after that he became the youth minister at Baring Cross Baptist in Arkansas. In 1987 he became the minister at Mountain View Baptist Church. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his sister, Rita Tucker. Surviving is his wife, Celeste Cox Tucker; children, Joyce (Terry) Long, Paul Tucker, James (Celsea) Tucker; grandchildren, Millie Long, Ryn Long, Skyler Long, Tucker Long, Maylee Hudspeth; brother, Jeff (Melissa) Tucker. His funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday, October 22, 2022 at Mountain View Baptist Church by the Rev. Joel Riley, the Rev. Steve Kramm, the Rev. Glen Sellers, Dr. Terry Long, and the Rev. Anthony Silvers. Burial will follow at the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 PM Friday, October 21, 2022 at Mountain View Baptist Church. Memorials can be made to Mountain View Baptist Church, 1232 Mountain View Church Road, Hamptonville, NC 27020. The family would like to thank the Doctors and Staff at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Comprehensive Cancer Center for all the love and care shown to Tim and his family.
