Tommy Wilson Ireland

Mr. Tommy Wilson Ireland, 85, passed away Saturday, December 9, 2023. He was born in Yadkin County on January 20, 1938 to J.W. and Lillian Ireland. Tommy served in the United States Air Force for 7 years and was stationed in Japan for some of his time serving. He worked for Stroh’s Brewery for 31 years, and always thought a lot of his coworkers. He was an avid fisher and loved spending his time with all of his fishing buddies. Everyone who had the privilege to know him will miss him very much.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Harvision Ireland. He is survived by his children, Mickle (Vivian) Ireland, Tommy (Dale) Ireland, Debbie (Mike) Motteler, Tina Haynes, Johnny (Karen) Ireland and daughter, Haley; grandchildren, Tommy (Allison) Beamer, Megan (Joey) Ledbetter, Travis (Keeley) Haynes, and Derek (Morgan) Haynes; great-grandchildren, Kayla, Brady, Reece, and Finnlea; and brother, Roger Dale (Twinkle) Ireland.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm on Wednesday, December 13, 2023 at Flat Rock Baptist Church in Hamptonville. A funeral service will follow the visitation at the church. Burial will follow the funeral service in the church cemetery. Gentry Family Funeral Service of Yadkinville is serving the Ireland family.
