Tyre "Ty" Lynn Norman

Mr. Tyre "Ty" Lynn Norman passed away at his home on December 5th, 2023. He was born in Hardin County, Iowa on November 13, 1956 to Irvin Lee and Lula Cowell Norman. Ty was well known for his car restoration business, "Sundance Street Rods" but he was a master mind and Jack of all trades. He could fix anything and if the machine didn't exist he would invent it. He moved from California to North Carolina in 1994 with his wife and three kids. Ty was a licensed general contractor for his Company TLC in California doing remodels and new construction for many years.  He enjoyed his work and had a good sense of humor about it.  Our dog Bella was by his side all the time and was his true companion.  She misses him so much.  Ty loved his family and friends and was well known and respected by many. He had big plans to travel in his future despite being cut short. He had the best sense of humor and knew how to make people laugh. John Wayne was his idol. Ty was the most honest and trustworthy man and he will be greatly missed. 

Ty is preceded in death by his parents, Irvin Lee Norman and Lula Cowell Norman. He is survived by his beloved wife of 38 years, Susan Norman; children, Katrina Norman (Josh), Caitlin Norman (Wesley), and Travis Norman (Kerrie); grandchildren, Connor, Ava, Taylor, Rowen Norman; sister, Shirley (Larry) Hall; niece, Christina (Raymond) Austin and Heather Norman; nephews, Jimmy (Cindy) Hall, Tyre Hall, Matthew (Belle) Hall, and Eric (Amanda) Norman. 

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, December 9, 2023 at 3:00PM in the Gentry Family Chapel in Yadkinville. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 2:00 – 3:00PM.
