Veronia Delania Nance Draughn

Veronia Delania Nance Draughn, 94, passed away Friday July 5, 2024. She was born September 4, 1929 in Surry County to the late Arvil Nance and Virginia Draughan Nance. Mrs. Draughn loved Atlanta Braves baseball, reading, and crossword puzzles. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Burley Thomas Draughn; son Perry Thomas Draughn. Surviving are her daughter Kathy Draughn Franklin; daughter-in-law Connie Draughn; grandchildren Heather (Anthony) Nimer, Holly Draughn, Kayla Franklin; great grandchildren Grayson Nimer, Bailey Nimer; sister Brenda Adams; brother Gilbert (Glenda) Nance. Veronia's family would like to thank the staff at Yadkin Nursing Center for their loving care and warm support for the past 3 years. The family will receive friends from 1-2 PM Wednesday July 10, 2024 at Gentry Family Funeral Service in Yadkinville. A memorial service will be conducted at 2:00 PM following the visitation in the Gentry Family Chapel by Rev. Frank Shumate. Gentry Family Funeral Service in Yadkinville is serving the Draughn family.
