Violet Cave Jester

East Bend – Violet Magalene Cave Jester, 90, passed away Tuesday, February 14, 2023 at her home.  She was born March 21, 1932 in Yadkin County to the late Crawley Levi Cave and Phoebe Brendle Cave.  Violet was a loving mother and grandmother and was known to everyone as “Granny”.  Her main mission in life was sharing the love of Jesus.  She was a devoted pastor’s wife and caregiver to both young and old alike and a true prayer warrior.  She physically and spiritually helped family members and non-family through trials and tribulations.  She was a loving baby sitter to several children that she still kept in touch with and loved up through their adult lives.  In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Rev. Roy Thomas Jester; sisters, Archie Bell Groce, Ruby Finney; brothers, Clyde Cave, Marvin Cave, Ed Cave, Rufus Cave, J.E. Cave, Junior Cave.  Surviving are her children, Carol (Danny) Arrowood, Deborah (Eddie) Kirk; grandchildren, Maria Nicole (Greg) Phillips, Dawn (Brandon) Berckman; great grandchildren, Nicholas (Haley) Berckman, Gabrielle Phillips, Hannah Berckman, Gavin Phillips; great great grandchild, Sadie Berckman; sister, Pansy (Leroy) Speer; special nephew, Kelly (Lori) Cave; and several other special nieces and nephews.  Her funeral service will be held 2:00 PM Saturday, February 18, 2023 at Union Grove Baptist Church by the Rev. Kenny Gooden.  Burial will follow in church cemetery.  The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service from 1:00 to 2:00 PM Saturday at Union Grove Baptist Church.  Memorials can be made to Mountain Valley Hospice, 243 N.
