Vivian Hutchens Eddleman

July 26, 1942 — August 31, 2024

Vivian Eddleman, 82, of Yadkinville, NC left the struggles of this life battling dementia and entered the presence of her heavenly father on Saturday August 31, 2024. Vivian was born July 26, 1942 to mother Alma Burchette Hutchens and father Worth Talmedge Hutchens of Yadkin County, NC. Vivian attended Yadkinville Highschool. Vivian was a member of Forbush Baptist Church and attended and sang in the choir as long as her health allowed. Vivian married Hal Samuel (Tinks) Eddleman and was married for 47 wonderful years until his death in 2007. Vivian spent her life enjoying her family as a mother and nanny. She worked many years for Unifi, Hanes Hosiery and cooking in the local restaurant industry which was her true passion. She enjoyed decorating cakes, sewing and working in her beautiful flower garden. Vivian is survived by her loving children Sam (Cookey) Eddleman and Toni Ann Eddleman; her grandchildren who were the love of her life: Samantha (William) McMichael, GySGT Samuel (Ashley) Eddleman, Steven (Maryann) Todd, Brittany (Willie) Byrd, and Aaron Eddleman, seven great grandchildren Will, Jakob, Mason, Noah, Brice, Nathaniel and Maci. Her brothers Jim, Benny, and Roger Hutchens; her sisters Betty Davis and Edna Lynch; very special friend Virginia Bowers Dinkins; special sister-in-law Barbara Hutchens and special niece Teresa Hutchens Hancock and host of other friends and relatives. Vivian was preceded in death by her parents, her husband very special mother and father-in- law Margaret P and Robert L. Eddleman, her children Dolly Mae Eddleman And Wendy Lynn (Doug) Scott, her brothers Bobby, David, Charlie Hutchens, sisters Ruth Myers and infant Peggy Hutchens. The family will receive friends from 10 -11 AM Saturday September 7, 2024 at Forbush Baptist Church. Here funeral will follow the visitation at 11:00 AM at Forbush Baptist Church by Rev. Justin Crouse. Burial in the church cemetery. The family would like to extend a special than you to Candy McClure, Dr. Tabitha Cousart-Hutchens for the many years of exceptional care provided to Vivian and Yadkin Nursing Center. 2 Corinthians 2:8 we are confident, I say, and willing rather to be absent from the body to be present with the Lord. Gentry Family Funeral Service in Yadkinville is serving the Eddleman family.
