Wade Eugene Hutchens, Sr.

East Bend – Wade Eugene Hutchens, Sr., 86, passed away Saturday, August 15, 2026. He was born October 29, 1939 to the late Hiram David Hutchens and Hazel Simpson Hutchens Frazier.

In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his wife, Mary Nell Jowers Hutchens; brother, Kenneth Hutchens; granddaughter, Rachael Hutchens. He is survived by his children, Ruth Hutchens (Rodney) Lazenby, Susan Hutchens Johnson, Wade Eugene (Kathy) Hutchens, Jr.; grandchildren, Amanda (Taylor) Upchurch, Rodney “R.J.” (Noel) Lazenby, Hannah Johnson Miller, Hallie Johnson, Hunter (Colin) Thomson, Neil (Diamond) Hutchens, Aaron Hutchens; great grandchildren, Kinley, Kaylee, Will, Emma, Bailee, Harper, Cade, Cash, Case, Hunter, Jake, Fisher, Forest.

His funeral service will be held 11:30 AM Thursday, August 20, 2026 at Gentry Family Chapel in East Bend by the Rev. Mitchel See. Burial will follow at Forsyth Memorial Park.
