William "Bill" McKinley Church

William “Bill” McKinley Church, 75, a loving husband, dad, and papa passed away on Wednesday April 13, 2022. He was born March 5, 1947 in Wilkes County to the late McKinley Church and Faye Eller Church. Mr. Church served in the US Army. He enjoyed working on cars.  Surviving are his wife Rosa Pharr Church; three daughters Amanda (Kevin) Shanks, Tracy (Patrick) Bell, Shae (Jody) Hatcher; granddaughters Ashley Byrd, Alyssa Byrd, Tiffany Bell, Sedessa Hatcher, Amelia Byrd, Sarika Hatcher; two sisters Libby Goddard, Phyllis (Joe) Reeves; brothers Wayne (Jo Anne) Church, Mark (Michelle) Anderson, and Neal (Betty) Anderson. The family will receive friends from 1-2 PM Saturday April 16, 2022 at Maplewood Baptist Church. His funeral will follow the visitation at 2:00 PM at the church by Rev. Jimmy Lancaster. Burial will follow at Yadkin Memorial Gardens with Full Military Honors by the NC National Honor Guard and VFW Post 10346. The family would like to say a special thanks to Andrew at Atrium Health CCU in Lincolnton for the loving care given to Mr. Church.
