William "Bill" Charles Crowson, Sr.

William “Bill” Charles Crowson, Sr., 90, passed away Tuesday December 10, 2024. He was born June 6, 1934 in Randolph County to the late Paul Thaddeus Crowson and Gladys Staley Crowson. Bill was a member of Mount Bethel Baptist Church in East Bend. He loved spending time with his family, fishing, and eating at Bojangles with friends. He is preceded in death by his parents; siblings Joseph Crowson, Paul Crowson, Johnny Crowson, Tommy Crowson; Beverly Butcher, Brenda Ferguson, Doris Crowson; son William “Billy” Crowson, Jr. Surviving are his wife of 42 years Barbara Meeks Crowson; children Thomas (Shirley) Crowson, Timothy Crowson, Laura Crowson, Melissa Williams, Dena (David) Driver, Becky (Rick) Sapp; 16 grandchildren; 23 great grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 1-2 PM Thursday December 12, 2024 at Mount Bethel Baptist Church. His funeral will follow the visitation in the church at 2:00 PM by Rev. Bobby Watts. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family would like to thank Dr. John Williams for his years of excellent care and friendship, also thanks to Mountain Valley Hospice for the compassion and care for Bill and his family during his illness. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations to Mount Bethel Baptist Church 4332 Mt. Bethel Church Rd. East Bend, NC 27018.
