CLEMMONS – Mr. William Issac Marshall, 72, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family and friends on Sunday, April 27, 2025 at Forsyth Medical Center. He was born April 22, 1953 in Davie County to the late Thomas Kitchin and Lera Carter Marshall. Mr. Marshall was retired from R.J. Reynolds Tobacco Company and after retirement worked for several years with Lowes Food. He loved working outside either in his yard, as a handyman around the house with his friends and neighbors, or refinishing furniture for others. He was devoted to being a loving husband and father to his family. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his brothers, Frank Marshall and Tom Marshall, and by sisters, Jo Ann Smith, Sarah Luper, and Elaine York. Surviving are his beloved wife, Johnna Marshall of the home; his daughter, Alicia Manning; his sisters, Betty Marshall (Thomas) Moeller, Madeline (John) Hire; brothers, Mark (Pandora) Marshall, John (Adna) Marshall; sister-in-law, Patricia Marshall; brothers-in-law, Frank Luper, J. Blaine York; and several loving nieces and nephews including his special nieces and nephews, Bailey, Nathan, and Chloe Dzeskewicz. The family would also like to express their appreciation to Dr. Fowler and staff of Salem Chest Specialist, and to Tim and Lisa Childers with their family, Elijah, Madi, Lydia and Leah Childers for all their loving care and support given to Mr. Marshall and his family. A Graveside service will be held 11:00 AM Wednesday, April 30, 2025 at Westlawn Gardens of Memory in Clemmons by Pastor Tim Gammons and Elijah Childers. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to either St. Jude Childrens Hospital or to Woodland Baptist Church Building fund or Bus Ministry c/o Martha Fulp, 1175 Bethania/Rural Hall Road, Winston-Salem, NC 27106.
