Willie Ray Brown

Mr. Willie Ray Brown, 78, passed away Tuesday, January 2, 2024. He was born on June 15, 1945 in Surry County to Fletcher B. Brown and Beulah Gardner Brown. Willie loved watching sports and NASCAR, and loved all animals, especially dogs.

In addition to his parents, Willie is preceded in death by his brothers, Fletcher Brown, Parks Brown, Spencer Brown, brothers-in-law, Charles McMahan and James Allison.  e is survived by his sisters, Bertha “Doodle” McMahan, Nellie (Bob) Wall, Bobbie (Wayne) Hudspeth, Mary Allison, Della (Ronnie) Pinnix; brothers, Ed (Carol) Brown, George (Vickie) Brown, David (Dawn) Brown, and Joseph Brown; a special nephew, John Brown, and several other nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Yadkin County Animal Shelter, 1027 Speaks St., Yadkinville, NC 27055.
